Our Environments

Sustainable Farming

Creating the perfect backdrop for the fruit we grow and the wildlife we care for.

We care deeply about our environment and carefully plan our cropping system so that they’re surrounded by hedges, trees and beetlebanks.

Over the years, we’ve planted many trees, hedges and wildflower meadows which, along with our woodland, create a wonderful environment in which to live and work, as well as providing important habitats for a broad range of vital species.

We grow and nurture beautiful fruit in fields alive with biodiversity.

We use production methods that allow us to incorporate wild flowers into the fruit fields themselves, so that they sit alongside the crops we’re picking. This encourages the friendly, beneficial insects to work with us in keeping the crops clean.

Thanks to the natural hedges and beetle banks, our farms are divided into a series of nature friendly rooms that are quickly populated with everything from ladybirds to barn owls.

Sustainability is about moving forward in balance with the systems around us; where we achieve great things, yet only leave a positive legacy on the farms that we steward for the generations ahead.
